Always Loved, Never Forgotten, and Forever Missed

It is with a heavy heart that I have to stand here tonight. This has been an emotional journey that our hearts had to endure. No parent should have to say goodbye to their child and place them in the earth. No parent should have to walk by an empty bedroom where there used to be joy and life. There is an emptiness in our life that can never be replaced.

The Lord Family wants to bring justice for Preston to make right a grievous wrong. We, as a community, stand united in the place where Preston's life was taken.

This is a surreal experience for us to know that he was brutally attacked here and this is where he took his last breath. The manner in which his life ended is heartbreaking to us. Preston was a gentle and kind person and his last moments were filled with fear and pain. His life ending like that is heart breaking.

We are pleased that after 4 months there is some positive movement in Preston's case.

Although we have some movement in arrests for Preston, this continues to be an ongoing active investigation. These arrests are only the first steps in getting justice for Preston. There will be long court battles and we would like this community to continue to support the Justice4PrestonLord movement by attending events and supporting us throughout these months to come.

The Lord Family is grateful for the long hours the police have put into this case. We also treasure this community that has helped this investigation while providing solace and comfort. It has helped us get through this devastating time with the loss of Preston's life. We are standing where Preston's life was taken but we are here to take what his life meant back. Prestons light will continue to shine through this darkness and bring out the truth.

I am asking for any witnesses at the Halloween party and any video footage of Preston Lord's assault be turned over to the Queen Creek Police Department at the following website https://p3tips.com/952.

You can also contact the FBI at www.fbi.gov/prestonlord.

Please utilize Preston Lord's Website at www.justice4prestonlord.com for all of our events, fundraisers and press releases to stay up to date.

Thank you everyone for coming this evening to honor our beloved son. Preston is always loved, never forgotten and forever missed.

May we please have a moment of silence.

—Written and shared by Melissa Ciconte, Preston’s Bonus Mom, during the vigil at site of where Preston took his last breaths. This vigil took place after arrests were made. We went there to take back his life and speak for him.
